Gluing PolyJet™ Parts
Creating smaller PolyJet parts and gluing them together is an excellent way to create large 3D parts. Dividing the design of the large part into several sections and then gluing them together to create the full assembly is a very simple method. The division of the part can be done using CAD software before the design is complete, or by using STL file manipulation software after the CAD design is already completed. The Magics™ software cutting tool provides an easy and intuitive way to glue together multiple parts.

Fender Cuts Rapid Prototyping Costs in Half with Objet 3D Printer
Fender Musical Instruments Corporation, the designer and manufacturer of world-renowned stringed instruments and amplifiers, chose Objet’s Eden350V 3D Printing System as its in-house 3D rapid prototyping solution. Using PolyJet™ photopolymer jetting technology, the Eden350V enables the Fender design team to produce its prototypes with exceptionally fine details and ultra-thin walls, and within hours instead of the weeks it used to take. Moreover, Fender can print anything from small guitar parts and amp knobs to amp chassis and new guitar body designs. And, according to Fender, prototyping costs have been cut in half, even though Fender now does much more rapid prototyping than it did in the past.
