Objet Geometries Ltd. is a high-tech company in Israel doing pioneer work in photo-polymer printing. Its state-of-the-art printers that perform printing of high-accuracy 3D physical models built from ultra thin layers are represented in Hungary by Varinex Zrt.
Today, 3D printing is one of the fastest developing technologies amongst Rapid Prototyping processes. Objet Geometries Ltd. has achieved sensational results in this area; they received the prestigious prize, ”Best Innovation of Euromold” in Frankfurt for their Connex500 type printer and now, only six months later, received the INDUSTRIA Grand Prize here in Budapest.
The Connex500 3D printer realizes the new three-dimensional printing method of Objet Geometries Ltd. called PolyJet Matrix™, which is the first and only printing process in the world which allows the simultaneous printing of models of two different materials so that we can use the two different types of material within one layer both separately and together. We can print models with two components, as if we manufactured our plastic products by two-component injection molding, and we can also use the mixture of two different base materials as new material. This option is called Digital Material™ method, which means that we can also use composite materials during printing that otherwise do not exist and are only created during printing; the mechanical properties of these materials can be adjusted within a wide range.
The operating area of the ConnexX500 equipment that embodies the new three-dimensional printing process is 500 x 400 x 200 mm; this operating area offers optimal space for the manufacturing of various prototypes that are made with a 30-micron caliper, ensuring palpable advantages of 3D printing with smooth surface finish, fine details and high accuracy.
